I am both a Z fanatic and a private real estate investor. I am not sure if this has been done in DFW or not but I just want to share my thoughts. Again it is only an idea at this time.
A lot of guys love to work on their cars but just like me, lack the essentials to do a particular job, either it is space to do work, power tools, lift, maybe even a dyno. What if there is "RENT A SHOP" that you can be a member of, just like a time share. The shop will have majority of the tools that you need and you will be available based on your membership's scope (Certain times of the week/month/year) We can start in a small scale and possibly span out from there.
Please let me know what your interests are and your seriousness on putting this idea into reality. I want to start on the logistics of this project based on the interest from several people. I need to make sure that I get the imost ideal location, equipment, square footage, financing, and insurance of the shop. I really want this not only for the Z guys but for all NISSAN guys out there.
There is really not a decent NISSAN dedicated performance shop in DFW and this is not an intent to make one. This is an intent to start a shop specifically for you to do your own work.
