OK folks, it's been over two years since our last Texas Rally. That is entirely too long - especially as it used to be a twice a year event.
So, I am looking at organizing another one. My plan is to have it at Throttle Position Motorsports if Vince will host us. I'm waiting for a reply. The big question is the date to hold the event. I'm thnking between the end of February and the beginning of April. I don't want to do the beginning of March since that is when the national convention will be held and not only do I not want to conflict, but I don't want anyone burned out either (a number of Texas folks will be going to the convention).
So, when would you folks like to have this event? Keep the weather in mind when answering. Late February could be dicey weather wise, but I don't live in the DFW area, so I don't really know.

I think the beginning of April looks like the best time. A bunch of us were at Vince's today, and that seems to be the consensus over there. Hope I can make it. I keep hearing about these things, but haven't been to one yet.
This sound's good. Let's start makin some plans to do this. Vince and I will host(sp) this no problem!.. It's been to long

Laying low so I can afford that dang car payment... the 55 has 3,500 miles & SE-R has almost 140K miles. Fixed a small antifreeze leak on the SE-R, put the Courtesy exhaust / muffler back on (I think it actually revs faster at low RPMs with the stock muffler - must be the back pressure) and that is about it. Just driving it and trying not to break anything ($$$). Really want to make the ride more compliant (shocks / springs) - but it will have to wait.
Have some free flights with Southwest so I'll be flying to the Convention in Phx this year (that and my Toyo Proxes have maybe 6 more months of NORMAL driving left on them - I wouldn't make it with a full track day with out new tires - and don't have the cash for new tires)....
what else.... Gateway is going to do a third round of layoffs in a year and probably close a bunch of stores in January (or so says the rumor mill)... I've been lucky thus far, but we will see - at least I'm not upside down in the benz so I could turn it if I had turn (which I would rather not).........
