My Car is Slow :(

car has been feelin a lil slow lately, but thought it was just in my head... Then today this guy in a red 240SX , dropped, with black spokey rims and exhaust raced me today on a 50-80 punch.. Now, granted he took the jump, he still pulled a car and a half on me (and he had the extra passenger too)

This shouldnt be happening
So to verify it, I called my brother up and we ran down 121 a few times.. Normally i can run even with him, or within a car length..
Well he was pulling about 3 cars on me tonight so im pretty sure somethin's up.

Any ideas? I'm gonna check the timing/plugs/wires tomorrow.

well, I gave the SER a tuneup today. Thx for the parts Brian

I did:
- new plugs (NGK copper BK6RE)
- new wires (stock oem nissans)
-cap
-rotor
and I changed the oil too

the throttle definently feels smoother, and the car feels more responsive on the lowend for sure. Also, it *sounds* like its running a little healthier too.

I know the sparkplugs havnt been changed in atleast 50K miles b/c i havnt changed them, and my brother never changed them when he had the car.

I'll have to take her out tonight and make some runs against my bro's Lude and see if I can keep up with him now :p

Okay I just got back from running my bro's Lude down 190. He is my benchmark test. Beforehand, I took out my 60lb subwoofer and the car definently felt lighter in the aspects of handeling and acceleration. So we went out and ran a few times from stoplights and punches. He does better on the punches i guess cozz of his H22 Torque. Also, we just put a spoon header on his car which is helpin him out compared to before.

Hed pull just over a car on me on the punches. Then on the stoplight runs, he would get me out of the whole by half a car (new tires must be helping him hehe?). Then from there we'd run it up to 100mph and he'd pull another half a car on me. So by 100 my nose would be right off his bumper. I guess the tuneup I gave it today helped in addition to yanking that heavy JL outta the trunk >:o
