Originally posted by BORNGEARHEAD I'm from Madison, Wi., but going to school here in Norman, OK. I am going to this Texas Rally for sure. I haven't had any opportunities to attend any sr20de events, other than the Nopi Nationals. I read on the Se-r.net that it is held in Denton, Texas. Is this right? What IS the Texas Rally? Does anybody have specifics? Directions? Times? It's on April 20th, Right?
Sorry about being so slow to get back to you. I don't frequent this forum to speak of - mostly to see what's going on in Texas and to announce things happening here.
A Texas Rally is simply a gathering of owners of cars with the SR and QR engines. The first one was held 5 years ago in Austin and they are usually pretty large. We haven't done this in 2.5 years, but that will change. After the Dallas convention I think a few of us burned out.
Anyway, it should be a blast. You'll see some cool cars, not to mention what I personally think is the nicest classic SE-R in the country (Shell's). I'll be there with my turbo G20.
It's a great chance to meet folks, drive/ride in other cars, exchange ideas, do minor maintenance, and get help with car problems.
Looking forward to meeting you.

Does anybody who is going to the rally have a 93-94 Se-r front bumper cover that they would part with? I am looking to get one with the bigger lip for my 91. If it's Aztec red, bonus. I would like to also get a set of 200sx se-r wheels. Don't need tires.

hey BORNGEARHEAD, i have a 94 red classic and i could probably hook you up with my front bumper. i plan to put on my stock bumper from an E model and put the nismo front air dam back on. havent had the chance to switch out bumpers though cause it needs a paint job.. the whole car needs a paint job =T
for the compliment - now I guess I have to get it ready
I just got my porter cable orbital in from amazon - guess I'll see how she works
I should have the Shigspeed suspension by the rally, but I'm not sure if I can get it installed by them - so maybe it will just have to look pretty in a box in the trunk
I was planning to bring the 55 as well - girl friend (Allison if you met her in Phx last month - my altima rental co-pilot) is havin her eyes re-lasicked (sp?) / lasered the Friday before. Not sure if she will be able to drive the Benz to Denton.... George and some others haven't seen it so I thought it might be cool
anyway - looking forward to it - anyone post a link with directions?

Pphfftttt...... Such a joker. If you show up with the Shigspeed suspension in the trunk, you will drive home with it on the car.
