inspection in texas

I am thinking about this matter for next year. Saying that I am going to turbo my car, I am very sure that it won't pass emmissions specially when they have their new sh*t going on. Do guys have any places that you know of that can hook you up with inspection.

Do I hear BS??? YOu know when you put that Header on, your car is already illegal. Technically anything done to alter the emmissions on your stock car, it is illegal or anything other than OEM.

Does anyone know the the stock heat shield will work with Hotshot headers? That might help pass the visual inspection...

nope i don't think it will work because the stock manifold has deal that you can screw the heatshield on. Obviously the HOTSHOT doesn't have it.

Bullsh*t.

There is no visual inspection in Texas.

Hell, on an OBD-II car they don't even lift the hood.

Every car I've owned, including my '96 se-r have had their hoods popped for visual inspection.

Sucker. :p

Like I said, with the new laws, OBD-II cars don't even get a probe up the tailpipe. They just check the ECU for stored codes. That's it.

I think some shops are making up their own rules.

man i dont know what inspection places you guys go to, but here in san antonio i've always gone to this place down my street where this guy dont check sh*t. This last time i got my first inspection on my classic and the only thing he made me do was roll up my window. Didnt' pop the hood, no lights check, wipers or anything like that.
