Anyone got air tools?

I tried to lower my car today but found that i need air tools like an impact wrench to get the strut bolts out... they're killer tight in there... i even broke a regular wrench just yanking on it...

so anyone got a place i can borrow air tools?

or maybe a shop that will do it for CHEAP... i planned on doing it myself, so i mean CHEAP when i say cheap.

you can rent a breaker bar for free at autozone, and maybe slip a pipe over that... if that doesnt get it loose, not much will

u can goto a muffler shop and have them break the bolts loose for u then tighten them up enough to get home. Then once ure home it will be alot easier for u to get it off with hand tools

I suggest you do what Matt said. A friend and I tried putting full Integra Type R suspension onto a Civic late last year and we ended up breaking 6 sockets. A year before that he had springs put on at Concept Racing. NEVER go there. Avoid them like the plague.

Matt, where in Plano do you live? I also have a friend w/ a Spec who is looking for other Spec owners around the area.

Right on. Maybe you met him..His name is Sean and drives a silver SpecV. All he has is a Place Racing CAI.

I have a house on 15th and Alma. Saturday I'm going to start my DET swap into the '92 SE-R. Should be interesting since I've only swapped Honda motors before.

I'll hit you up when I get a free second here at work or when I get home

I'm towing the car down to a friend in Houston, so that is where we will be performing the swap. I'll probably be going down there every Saturday for the next couple weeks. If you want to see the motor go to OT and I have a thread there on the first page.

When I get it back to Dallas any and all help will be appreciated. We'll go take out some Z28s.

i love em, they're grrrreat.

There is a massive difference in the way the car handles. It spins around faster as if glued to the ground, with less screeching from my tires.

I only did the springs and will buy the Spec V struts sometime later... there's a group buy for those, too. No AM struts are available yet.

The progress/intrax springs are supposedly the best for the Spec V struts and will be the longest lasting combo... so thats what I'm going for for now... plus i love the way it looks.

now onto tranny upgrades... but i don't wanna have to give up my car for extended periods of time.... ugh...
