Had fun today at our 4 man SR20 meet!

Me, Dr. Kwak, TX180SX and another friend w/ a DET went out and had some lunch. I invited a couple of other friends to come along because they were in the area. One has a gernaded mustang (ran 12s) and one has a Supra (ran 10s)... but the guy w/ the supra came out in his 84 supra!

Soooooo, we're sitting there eating and having fun... and my friend w/ the 84 Supra challanges me and my bone stock classic to a roll race on the highway. Being the kind of person I am (cautious), it took me a little bit to accept the offer, but I finally said 'what the hell' and decided to run him. What he DOES have in the supra though is a 6M motor (JDM 2nd gen motor) that has about 190HP stock (where the cuatiousness set in). We had about 8 or so races from about 50 and a couple from 60. The ones from 50, he jumped me, and by about 100-110 I put a car and half length on him. The 60 punches were pretty dead even, and around 85 or so, I started pulling. I must say though, he did get the jump on me in a few races and he did beat me in 3 or so of them.

Either way, it was a fun day. Kinda sad that I didn't have my turbo car ready to go out there (since everyone else had a turbo SR ) so I was the only NA car out there. I had a blast, and regardless of the rain today, it didn't spoil our fun! We'll do this again in a few months. Hope to get more people out next time!

Ben

Man, that's one clean SE-R you found for $1400! Would have been better with more SR20s showing up but you know how that goes with the rain and their cars made of sugar But yeah it was fun seeing you dudes and laying the smacketh down upon the JDM Supra. Looking forward to next time...

Thanks Julian. I thought I got a steal too! As a matter of fact, as soon as I walked in another SR20 guy called me that was from Dallas. I thought he'd driven down here from Big D to come to this, but turns out that he actually goes to school here. WHEEEW!

It seems that nieces and nephews always have a birthday when I have some "car stuff" I need to attend to!

Believe you me, I wish I was there!

Although, drunken granny's are sight not to be missed!
