disgusted

I have an oil line tapped through my oil pan, and an overheated head on my built block that's leaking water. What better way could I have wasted my time and money? I'll try to get pictures.

I know it was there for a long time, but did they rip you off or are they just super slow at business? I'm not trying to defend, but i would like to know, for my sake.
Shoot me a pm.

I was at the shop a few weeks ago and I must say that I would never take my car there. The guy talking to us seemed like an idiot. I think he was the owner. The shop is small and crappy looking. Maybe I was expecting something else.

Man, sounds like you got leeted. ..... much like...myself . Dunno who and who hasn't read my post on freshalloy but here it is. You can see for yourself the boostfactor quality. I've got my own set of pictures of my initial raped car and also a video of us trying to drive it on the road. Maybe I'll post them up sometime. hehe =)

http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...b=5&o=&fpart=1

I also made another post back earlier on this forum too under the tech section that was a little more anger filled. hehe

What can I say. You pay a shop $4000, being led to believe that your sr20det swap would come out with most everything necessary and be in good working order... instead, you get a puffed out beater that looked like it was strewn together by a buncha little kids or something. All I got was pretty much...engine...tranny....jwt ecu.....yep, i think that's about it. Everything else was totally ghetto rigged and sure you could say the car turned on...but other than that you couldn't really call it a car.

How long did I wait for this disgusting POS to come back to me? Let's see....I put the downpayment down in May. ... Waited over 3 months for the god damn ecu to come in... then when they finally did start on my car, it took more than 2 weeks. I've known people who start off not knowing much about the swap and can put together a fully functional sr20det car in 5-7 days max time. And this is a supposedly professional shop we're talking about here.

The first time I got my car back it barely ran as I said. It'd sputter out and pretty much was limited to under 3000 rpms. You try to go over that figure, and BAM...you GET OWNED. Not to mention they jacked my perfectly fine stock radiator too by cracking my inlet. Brought it back to them and the 2nd time I got it back, ran a bit more normally, but it only seemed it was running a lot better just because it was running so insanely unbelievably like crap before. And that would bring you up to the FreshAlloy post.

My car is still not running like it should, but we've gotten some balls reattached to it somewhat. I'm supposed to take my car back to them to have it looked at again this week, but I have really low faith in what they can do after all this. My trust = gone.

I'll be blunt and plain and I don't care if boostfactor's owner reads this or not, but if any of you out there are planning to do a swap or ANYTHING at all with your motor, my suggestion to you is....DO IT YOURSELF or stay away from them....or there is more than 90% chance you'll end up like me and hien, and some others.

I think that's all the ranting and raving i'll do for now.

Laterz all,

A very sad 240sx sr20det

Rape by Boost Factor?

You guys are sh*tting the crap out of me. What the heck? I was going to bring my car there for installation, for yes, 700 bucks.
I agreed with the guy on the post, we need a nice decent nissan shop for the swap and other smaller parts... Why can those Courtesy guys set out on their own. I have another friend who wanted to invest, but that guy just like Hondas... figured.
8 (*&% months for a sort of complete car... that suck! Thank you for post up these line who ever you are. I thought many of us didn't wanted to say anything negative about Boost Factor... I guess not huh?

Well we did the same amount of work, but you had more experience then me with motor swaps. But...
Anyways, i think Ryshe should take it back to Boost Factor to give them one more chance, then...If not bring it a local like 97 s14 that will do it right.

Squash it

I'm gonna pay the rest of my invoice and get the rest of my stuff back from Boost Factor. If you have any more comments, please direct it towards me with PMs. Thanks to everyone for their support.
