swap shops in DFW area?

hiy'all,,,
im planning on doing the sr20det swap sometime in spring next year//i just wanted to know do you guys know any good shops..i planned on going to boostfactor..but that was before i read the post about it in here...it's kinda freak me out so i cancel my plan to go there...i know a place called intercrew , but they charge me $4500 for the swap ..i havent check with jotech though(although i kinda sure they will be i bit more expensive)...i cant do the swap myself...dont have a garage(i live on an apartment),,and i couldnt afford any mistakes (seriously..i work as a delivery driver, and this is the only car i got)..also i dont have the technical skills....so..please tell me if you guys know a shop, or have done a swap in a certain shop with a satisfactory result...
thx alot..

do me a favor. Don't go to intercrew, jotech, or concept racing or any other shop in dallas. They are all HONDA tuners. I have yet to see a NISSAN shop. I thought I did until that happened with boostfactor.

Everyone has told me James is the man to go to..

Other than that I've worked with pretty much every shop around here. Phillip over at Intercrew is a good guy and knows quite a bit, but he's a tad on the lazy side. He also charges too much on some things. Concept Racing sucks so much ass. I think they specialize at putting bodykits on. I had several horrible experiences with them, as did a bunch of people I have run into. Steer clear of them. Jotech is overpriced. Period.

One thing to keep in mind when choosing someone to do the install is that they understand the wiring involved with the SR20DET harness to the 240SX chasis. It's very complicated. Anyone can swap the motor's over, but not very many people can get the SR running properly with the factory SR20DET engine harness, direct fire ignition (distributor-less), and SR20DET ecu. This is why so many shops now use the JWT reprogrammed KA24DE ecu to avoid having to worry about wiring up the SR20DET harness. This may be convienent, but it is not the best way to run a SR20DET engine IMO.

There nothing to tricky to the wiring on a det. Most of the JWT setups don't seem to run right. I'd go with a stand alone but most guy's don't wanna spend the $$$$.

The wiring for the DET into a 240sx is not hard at all. Just get the issue of SCC that has the DET swap writeup if you want an example. The only hard part is that you have to lengthen portions of the harness which is not really even required if your willing to let your engine bay look like sh*t. Oh, I also agree with everyone, just take it to james or do it yourself dont go to a place thats going to end up stealing your money like boostfactor.

P.S. Boostfactor is a piece of sh*t

All you need to know is CTC Motorsports in Dallas/Richardson. They are SR20DET masters and have an unbelievable turbo kit for SR and KA engines that has been proven to produce 400, daily driven whp.

Check them out. I have photograhed their swaps into FWD and RWD applications. They provide wire harnesses custom built for your chassis/engine combination. I believe 205hp engines go for $2800 and 220hp engines for $3200.

Swap deal

Just see the above number and check out James Vick. Hell this guy does quite a few swap for a decent price, beside he's the crew and tech support for the rest of us.
