I said the world's fastest 240SX. I know that the JUN Silvia is faster, but it's a Silvia and I don't believe it is street legal. Both 240SX's are street legal. Trying not to be a smartass here. Just stating my point.

You can also turbo the KA and produce more power than the SR will ever think of producing. Me personally, I'd rather turbo the KA. But then again, I don't like being like every other 240SX/Altima ower who has done the swap. That swap is WAY too common. I want to be different. Just giving my .02.

BTW, congrats on the new purchase.
icorrect sir: the KA has weaker connecting rods and pistons as well as non sleeved cyl walls. In addition the head of the KA does not possess the flow characteristcs of the DET motor... you say the swap is common? lets see how many swaps there are running around compared to ka motors....

my .02

Agree with Nox240. The KA cannot safely and reliably make the power that the SR can.

Want to be different...swap in a RB! That's what I'm gonna do when the funds present themselves.

I have seen nissan trucks last for 2-300k miles with no problems, but then again, they are not turboed, but they are totally reliable.

reliability gets thrown out the window when you change the variables that the engine was not designed to withstand.

I'm saying that the swap from the KA to the SR motor for the 240SX and the Altimas are common swaps.

The KA motor maybe weaker in those aspects, and it's probably not the most rev happy engine out there , but it makes it all up with the low end torque !!! Its a stump puller compared to most other 4 cyl. out there , and thats what makes it a fun street Motor !!!!
