track

Anyone planning on hitting the tracks soon? I just got my SpecV back with a new engine compliments of Nissan. The close-coupled cat on the header failed and the internals recirculated thru the EGR system back into the motor. Munch, Munch, bang, bang, and that was that. I drove it to the dealer and they dropped in a new engine free of charge due to the part being on recall

Anyways I'm just about done breaking in the new engine and want to see what she can do. Anyone want to hit up the denton 1/8th mile this weekend?

Sorry, but George and I are taking (Plano) Grover's car to Texas World Speedway. Grover will be home, though.

It was Saturday. I didn't find out until Wednesday when we'd run. Our new Raxles axle died after nine laps of an eleven lap race, costing Geo 3rd place. See the write-up in the Competition section.

I saw on the natl. list that the axle gave it up. I have a guy here in Dallas that builds mine. I havn't hurt one in over 3 years. He only uses nissan cores and has great prices.

yeah, so Denton sux a$$.. Friday Night I go up there with a bunch of friends (about 5 cars) to race.. I checked their webpage earlier in the day and it said they were running test and tune then midnight madness 10:30 to 2:30 so we get there and what do we see? CLOSED!

I am itching to see what my new motor can run, so Saturday I am ready to go again. I CALL them first about 10pm and they lady says Yes come on out we are running Midnight Madness! So I go with a few friends (only 2 cars this time) we get there and the lights are on.. people are racing ( sweet! )

I pull up to pay, and the lady says " We are closing down now, sorry!" I was pissed off so I said, " look, i came out last night and ya'll were closed.. I come out tonight after calling before I left and now you're telling me I cant run? that's bullsh*t" She said all she could do was give me a free pass for next time, So, i took my free pass and went on my way.
