Open track day at Motorsports Ranch

Edp Racing is have its first track event at Motorsports Ranch near Fort Worth. These events are run with no run groups. 9 am to 12:30 then 1:30 to 5 pm. Seven hours of open track time for only $245! This event is thursday Feb. 12. This track killed my stock motor, and I still want to go back. 1.7 miles with many off camber turns, and some elevation-we are in Texas They also are at TWS almost monthly. More details at edpraing.com and yes there will be at least one classic there, me.

MSR is not a horsepower track like TWS and it's very technical with off-camber turns.

Anyway, my buddy and I will be there in our 350's. :-)

That's why Grover in his ITS SE-R was able to pass a Chaparrel with Mouse motivation. Well, okay, the Chaparrel wasn't running up to snuff and they didn't want to bend anything...still, the crowd cheered. Did I mention we got snowed on that day?

Brotha Bruce! If you come on out that day, I might let you flog the 350 for a few laps...

That's a sweet offer, Michael, but 'tis a workday and I need to save my vacation for the Convention and holidays...and unexpected race days with George and Grover. That happened rather often last year.

Re: Open track day at Motorsports Ranch

Thank you, Those Z's are fun to chase. I've never done MSR backwards. Its seems a little more hairy. You didn't look too bad either. There is another EDP Racing event at TWS in May if your interested. I think the 14th.

Well... I don't feel too bad for letting you by since that z06 consistently let me by and that guy was on r-comps too!

My next event will probably be PCA Mayfast at Hallett: http://vista.pca.org/cim/mayfast2004_info.html

Card tricks? Magic tricks? Please-the-wife tricks?

If anyone has even the least bit of interest in card tricks, rent the movie "Shade" with Sly Stallone, Melanie Griffith, Gabriel Byrne and some people I've never seen before. Cool plot and card tricks galore.

Hehehehe, I was wondering when you were going to chime in on this this. I ended up getting a membership at MSR so no more DE's for me.

Let me know if you're still going to be in town that Friday and I'll try to take Friday off.

Re: Open track day at Motorsports Ranch

I'm rather busy getting ready for three fantasy football drafts this weekend, but Sunday is actually open. Maybe I should use up the last three miles on those Kumhos I shredded at the Convention. I'd be running Production since the car is gutted but not yet registered as ITA (so it can run SP).
