Hey whats up guys. Im a FNG to the forum and the import scene. I just recently wrecked my 78 Trans AM WS6 into a telephone pole and am looking for a new ride while cut the quarters out and replace them do a engine rebuild and 6 speed tranny swap. I just recently got turned on to the 240sx. I was wondering if there was a good shop around her that I could get a SR20DE-T and could do the swap and how much do thinkit would cost along with the 5 speed tranny. Any help would be great.

well typically if you get a shop to do your swap you are looking at 3500-6000. There are a few shops in the DFW area that can do it. I have heard of Alvarado, but I forgot where exactly it is. PM me and I'll hook you up with a few names.

We can do sr20 swaps all day long.. we can even build your motor up, or even build your turbo setup.. im not talking cookie cutter. im talking bulding you a setup, but if you want something more simple then we can do that also. it is not a problem. Gotham did great work on my SE-R. Rich would call me at all hours of the night to give me updates (without me initiating anything). I generally hate shops, but the guys at Gotham made me feel more than secure. Alex is amazing when it comes to wiring.

I know we can help this guy out, it aint no problem. As a matter of fact we just worked on a 240 this weekend that has some major wiring issues as well as some others with his Red-Top.

But lets say a bone Stock Swap for an sr20det turn key and all would a lil under 3800. That is just a guess off the top of my head, and that is of course if we get the motor for you lol.

$3,800 is a pretty damn good price for an SR swap.
