Could this have been my bad idle culprit?

I was having major bad idle issues with my car for a while so I finally decided to get my lazy butt up and replaced the AAC valve in my 1991 Classic.

Here is what I found out when taking the old one out, it seems like I'm missing a spring somewhere in there

Don't pay attention to the poor quality of the pictures

Actually you're not missing it, they redesigned it.
