Would an exhaust leak cause bad gas mileage?

i have a leak on the secondary where my header goes from 4 => 2 and ive noticed my gas mileage going down slightly

could this be the cause?

o2 will detect extra oxygen in the stream causing the injector duty cycle to increase, also can cause carbon deposits and premature cat failure.

Are you talking about the gasket between the primary and secondary? If so, just cut your own gasjet out of a coke/beer can. Yes, a new bosch o2 sensor will help, only if yours is kaput.
