which ecu for jdm swap

i have a highprot jdm motor that i plan to swap into a 97 sentra gxe. i want to build it up then drive it na then turbo in a year or so. what i am getting stuck on is what ecu to use for obd compliance i would like to stick with obd2 if possible. also i do have a set of intake and exhaust manifolds from a usdm sr20 lowport

what are some of your other swaps doing in my situation
please help

why would you say that? either use the highport ECU and Wireing Harness or use the lowport ECU and wireing Harness. it really doesnt matter, the ecu just has to match the harness.

is it possible to put the lowport ecu on the highport head so that i wont have to get sniffed when i get the car inspected

wait will your saying that all i have to do is keep the highprt mani and just use the lowport harness and ecu, but what about the extra sensors

There are some sensors that will not be there on the jdm motor, you just have to leave them, but that is the same if it is highport or lowport, because you are using a jdm motor it has no EGR (exhaust gas recirculation), so the US engine harness will have plugs for those sensors, but they are non-existant on the JDM motor. so what I am saying is, it doesnt matter what ecu and harness you use, as long as they are both the same.

one thing, you have to use the lowport distributor on the highport if you use the lowport ecu.
