Idle problem gone bad...real bad...

Hey,

I've got a 1991 NX2000

I car would idle at about 750rpm. When I came to a stop light the car would dip all the way to below 500 and then go up to 1000 numerous times. It did this for a while. A few days ago the car (when coming to a stop) dipped to below 500 and just died. I tried to restart it, but with no luck. When I try to start it you can hear the starter spinning like mad...but nothing else happens. I took out the spark plugs to see if there is hydrolock. For some reason I have had problems with fuel injectors in this car. There are no pistons that are swimming in fuel...but there is fuel in the oil pan...I think I have a fuel problem of some sort. Any ideas? Thanks a ton!

coil, power transistor, bad ecu, fuel pump, the symptoms you described sound like a bad iacv/aacv but that won't keep your car from starting a fully stuck open egr will do that too. need more info
check for spark at coil
check spark at plug
check fuel pressure
check fuses
with key on engine off do you hear the fuel pump?

Timing. Beleive me. My car would act like crap just after I got gas in it. It would get to the point where I would sit there and start my car over and over again, it would start then die, start then die. I got the timing taken care of and the IACV adjusted, it idles perfectly now except once in a blue moon pushing on the brakes, turning the wheel, using the blinker, and shifting into neutral causes it to sputter a bit. Rarely though.
