Clutchnet Clutch Question...

I have someone on G20.net that is selling his Clutchnet 6puck...

I plan on going turbo...but it wont be for awhile and as of now i only have a few bolt ons...

my question is how will this clutch perform with a bolt on setup?

iknow it is WAY too much clutch for bolt ons...but still, will it grip like crazy? jerky? chattery? will my right calf be bigger than the left? ....etc?

thanks guys!

Usually the more pucks on the cluth the more modulation you get ou of it.
3 pucks grabs harder than 6. Make sure it's a sprung hub clutch disk as well.
It will chatter some and it will not feel like a regular old OEM.
Do not use the twin spring pressure plate........it will be "harder" on the pedal and lock up with more bite. The new clutch net's are good; I am using a sprung 4 puck and twin spring PP on my race car just fine.
The other thing to considder is that the harder you have the clutch biting the more shock load you transfer to the motor mounts, so............one thing will lead to another over time as you keep "bolting on".

It is overkill for your current setup, especially for a steet car, and will probably be overkill for your setup when you are turbo. 6-pucks are not needed until around 280whp. With less than that you want to use a street style disc, the puck disc can break your tranny and will chatter because it is so aggressive.

If anything, your left calf would be bigger. Unless you clutch with your right leg for some odd reason.
