Instrument bulbs in 200sx/B14 Sentra

this is from SentraOLM. ( hi chrissy )

Replacing Stock Bulbs in Instrument Cluster
This applies to 95-98 200SX's and B14 Sentra's
By Michael Young

I recently replaced my stock light bulbs behind the instrument cluster in my 98 200SX with new super white bulbs. This made the instrument panel look like the high dollar afternarket setups and really improved the look of the entire instrument cluster.

TOOLS NEEDED:

1 Phillips Screw Driver
1 Small Flathead Screw Driver
4 new bulbs, I used POLARG Super White 194's ( small wedge type). They are the same as the trunk size bulb if you need a comparison.
INSTRUCTIONS:

Disconnect negative battery cable and for added safety pull the airbag fuse in cabin fuse box.
Place Steering wheel at lowest position then remove the two screws on the topside of the instrument cluster trim.
Remove the trim. Use a small Flathead screw driver on the edges of the trim to loosen.
When trim is removed you will see 2 screws on the top of the cluster and 2 screws on the bottom corners. Remove all 4 screws.
When the 4 screws are removed you will be able to pull the instrument panel towards the steering wheel.
Position the instrument cluster at an angle so you can access the back of the cluster. You will see 3 large electrical plugs on the back of the cluster. Remove these plugs by squeezing the top and bottom of the plugs.
Once the electrical plugs are removed carefully remove instrument cluster from behind the steering wheel.
Turn cluster over and you will see 4 large screw in type bulb holders behind the gauge faces. To remove these you simply turn them about ½ a turn and they come right out.
Once you have removed the bulb holder, pull the bulb out. (bulbs are waffle type) The stock bulb will have a blue bulb cover. Remove the cover and place it on the new bulb. Push new bulb back into bulb holder and place back into cluster.. Repeat this process on the remaining 3 bulbs.
Carefully replace cluster back into dash. Attach the electrical plugs in the back of the instrument cluster. Place cluster in position and tighten all 4 screws.
Place trim in original position and tighten the 2 top screws.
Other model B14's may not have the bulb covers, the 98 200SX came with stock white gauges so that may make a difference with the bulb covers.

That's it, The whole process shouldn't take more than an hour from start to finish.

Hi Figgy.

I did that back when I had my 94. Pretty easy, but I think my cluster was messed up since the lights came on and off. hehe
