but what is the headcode? the exhaust manifold you speak of sounds like a VE manifold.

so it is a highport, internal coil, silver VC, can you just look in the spark plug holes and see if the pistons are flat topped?

no luck....all I see is a dark fluid substance!
...guess i'll have to replace that HG after all....i just hope it doesnt need stem seals, too

maybe thats the reason the h20 pump bearing was so bad, and all the hoses are so gummed up..?

Hi guys! Need some info on this pls?

We found a redtop SR20DE.
It had UK1 96J on its injector, but when we looked at the number under the distributor cap it has 53J 6R we also found another one it had 96J 1L.

Are these engines ok? Or had they been tampered because they dont have the same code.

Thanks.

It also takes boost very well. I have seen a t28 at 12psi on 10:1 DE motor in a b14 full interior go 12.6 on street tires.

hmmm, is this the same as the 2r 2j2 sr20de? hahah, i seem to findmyself a little bit confused while reading the list coz if i just refer to the 1r staping, its gonna refer to the usdm engine, but if i refer to the 2j2 stamping, its gonna refer to the jdm engine. whats the hp rating of the 2r 2j2 engine? thanks bro

2j2 generally refers to roller rocker... Check the Block/Head... is there a 53J?, keep looking for distinguishing markings... You have to investigate more... injector color, the kind of intake manifold, it seems that what the dealer is telling you may be right... it sounds like its a primera engine to me, but give yourself piece of mind and try to verify.

as for roller rocker information and power, compression, tq ... again, please look at the link in my signature.

tokes,

hmmm, thats weird. i checked both sides of the block already and i still cant find any reference to 53J. the last place i havent checked yet would have to bein front of the block, the area the exhaust manifold is covering. btw, i noticed that our engines look 95% alike, what does your block stamp say?

i just hope my sr20 isn't the SR20Di or the SR20De.
