Primera 2.0GT FHP11

^I believe my UK 10.1 motor came from this car.

^Link to car. Check out the chassis code # of my findings. If all this is true, I have a 1997 highport engine? Interesting. I can't wait to measure the stock cams to see what the come out to be.

Hey Guys I opened up an engine today. Head code is 53J 6R. I'm assuming it is a complete JDM import. My friend pulled it from a G20 at the local junkyard. The engine has a Nissan valvecover so I'm thinking an engine swap was performed in the past.

This engine has 9.5:1 compression pistons, and standard valves(53J,64Y), high port head. No Ribs on the side of the head. I'm not sure what color scheme the valve cover was originally as it has been sanded down to bare aluminum.

Hi people
I have a SR20DE RR I think is 2002 and I want to know what is the compresion ratio of my engine, the engine head code is 53J UK 2f2 4L, but Im not sure if is 10:1 or 9:5.1, I want to do some upgrates but I want to know the compresion ratio, with a friend we going to setup the ECU with chip and I like to switch the springs and maf sensor, if anyone here know about this, that would help me.
Thanks

Most of these sr20s you guys are mentioning are probably just standard 9.5:1 motors

would an engine out of an automatic transmission setup have higher or lower c.r. or does it not matter. my 53j 5l seems to be from automatic.

Ive got a "53j 6r" in my p10 primera, any idea of specs?, seemingly stock but very quick, sluggish 1500-3000ish rpm off the mark and really opens up after about 4000rpm, any ideas why this is? its a bronzey with black strip rocker cover side feed injectors and tube exhaust rather than cast so i figured its high compression. any ideas about more specific specs would be awesome (i mean it handles itself keeping up with xr6 turbos)
