I have a noise coming from the area around the brakes/suspension/axle on the front drivers side. Its kind of a clunk i guess. I noticed it after doing my front brakes the other day. When i was burninshing(?) the brakes, there was a repetative cluck that appered everytime the wheel made a revolution. I could also feel it a bit near my feet and could hear it when i hit a bump. I had my "mechanic" take it for a ride. He also showed me that it made a noise with the car off when the steering wheel was moved from side to side. He suspected it to be the inner tie rod.
Does this seem like it is the case or could it be something different?
Tie rod ends and inner tie rods usually dont have enough play to make a "clunk" noise.
clunking noise can be made by many things.
AFTER you make sure that all your lug nuts are properly torqued, (sounds dumb but i've done it before too. )
I would check more in the area of your ball joint or the sway bar link like 93w91ser said.
Hell, I'd check everything else anyways just to cover your bases.

if it is the sway bar link, what would make it clunk and how would you right this? mine does the same thing after i droped it about 1.5 inches.

The sway bar link connects to the lower control arm. if it is broken it is possible that it is bumping into the control arm or other parts as the car goes over bumps or turns.
If you look behind the wheel and the sway bar is not connected to the control arm then it is broken. Get a new end link.
Check and make sure all the above mentioned components (sway bar link, control arm ball joint, tie rods) are tight and have no play as well. Also check strut tops too.
