The reason i made the assumption on the 259's is that the Sunny GTI (N14) i have, as you'll know, is essentially the same under the skin and it's the rear brakes from one of these that i used on the B13.
As for braking in to a wet corner with the 259's on the rear, it can cause some nasty tail slides even with the bigger 15mm rear ARB also fitted.
Just got hold of a UK NX 2L VIN #

Discs and calipers (CL9HA) are identical to our N14 Sunny GTI, and both cars have ABS:

258/26 Vented on the Front
259/9 Solid on the Rear

So those disc sizes are the same as the GTI-R albeit that the R uses the slightly different rear caliper.

As for keeping the tail in check, it turns out my camber is all over the place...need some time with the camber bolts and camber gauge to get that problem ironed out...

Im about ready to finally order some slotted rotors.

Am I missing something? Are you trying to find AD22VF front calipers?
