i just flushed it today and filled it up with 50/50 coolant and that didnt fill it up all the way so i topped it off with distilled water and it overheated all the way about 5 min later on the highway so i got off and stopped at a friends house and gave it some more water and it went back down to half way and hasnt moved since BUT it was about 5 o clock so i guess tomorrows miami heat will bring the verdict

BTW is it okay that i took out my thermostat? i heard that its better especially in hot areas

i traced my "overheating" problem back to a faulty ground connector. find them, clean them, enjoy.

I know they are pricey, but it has been the best peace of mind upgrade I've done.
Several years later I decided to revisit this cause my NX still has this problem:

Has that mod still held up? I am about to cut out the nose and make a grill. Let me know if the Koyo is worth it and if it held up.
