Need a bit of help on this one. This is on a 2000 Sentra SE with the sr20 motor.
I just finished up doing a 5 speed swap on the car. When I first started the car [on jackstands] it would crank but not turn over. A few attemps later t finally started after giving it some gas and turning the key.
I get the car on the ground and started again, this time it would not turn over again. I gave it gas and bam, it turned over. I go around the block, the car drives normally thru 3rd gear but as I come to a stop sign and engage the clutch and apply the brakes, the RPM's just drop and the car stalls out.
The car will start right back up no problem and drive normally again until I come to a dead stop again. I checked for vaccum leaks, checked the alternator belt, checked the PCV valve. checked to make sure all the sensors I could plug in were plugged in.
Other than the shutting of, there seems to be no problems and no weird noises although I do get a few weird smells. I dont know if thats fluid in the engine bay burning off or if its something else.
judging from the write up on g20.net, they made no mention of the benefits of changing out the ecu for a manual one other than getting rid of the check engine light.
Not sure how a nissan would handle it but I know that It ran like crap with the auto ecu on that civic. IT wouldn't stay on at idle. Just an idea though.
I don't know about the B15, but I wouldn't think the ecu would be the issue - unless the ecu got fried or something. I would check your TPS and idle air control valve. Another option could be that your base idle has been tweaked.
the car idles fine, right at 800 rpm where it was before I swapped. The stalling only happens when coming to a stop. I will have to check the TPS voltage, it was removed a few months ago maybe I put it in wrong.

Did you ever drive the car after you put the tps back on or did the car just sit until you did the swap?
Also, I'm not sure about the b15 ecu, but I ran my car with the auto ecu for a few months after I did the 5-speed swap and it ran fine.
yea i did drive the car while it was still auto for about 2 months after the TPS was removed and renstalled without issues.
my mechanic says I need to get a 5 speed ecu to fix the problem.
You could be right about the ecu, but I seriously doubt it. I would just hate to see you fork over the cash for the ecu if you didnt need it. But I guess you would want it sooner or later, unless you can deal with the CEL.
