MAF Confusion

Is there a difference in MAF from a JDM 90-94 SR20 to a USDM 95-98 SER? Can you hook up a 98 SER MAF with 98 SER HArness to a 91-94 JDM Engine? I am having lopey idle and misfire because my computer is not reading the signal from the MAF I've tried a 91-94 SER MAF and a new 95-98 SER MAF that I ordered from Rock auto with no luck. Any Help will be greatful.

You need to match the MAF to the ECU, shouldn't be that confusing.... that goes for the wiring harness too.

Ok, so lets just say that I had a 98 SEL and I swapped the ECU with a 96 SER, then you are telling me that the 98SEL will not run right?

I'm saying if the part #'s of the MAF's are the same then you will be fine.
