DIY Re-Grounding Kit?

Our '96 SE-R is now almost 12 years old and I'm thinking it'd probably be beneficial to replace all the major grounding cables/connectors. Does anyone have a good write up on this? I've seen some specific How-To's listed (such as re-grounding the MAF), but nothing about re-grounding the entire system.

I'd like to do this myself and make my own cables instead of buying an off the shelf universal system. I figure that this way I can make sure all the major grounds are redone and that the cable lengths are perfect. If there isn't a good comprehensive How-To on this, I don't mind creating one with pictures like I did with the alternator one.

I'm comfortable with making home audio speaker/interconnect/power cables but have never looked into the raw cable/connector market for automotive applications. Are there any manufacturers I should use or ones I should avoid?

----

Mods, I posted this in the technical forum since my reasoning for this re-grounding is to increase the reliability and performance of the SR20. I'd like to induce a discussion of which would be the best grounds to replace and I thought this would be a better place for that discussion than the audio/electronics sub. As always though, I differ to your better judgment.

It's really a simple matter of finding all the grounds, and replacing them. Possibly adding more than there were to begin with. As far as I know, the B13 has grounds from the engine to the chassis right by the battery/thermostat housing, and another one from the chassis to the lead exhaust pipe. Your B14 should be similar. I like to add another ground from the passenger side of the intake manifold to somewhere on the chassis by the power steering lines. Once, again, this is a B13 so your results may vary.

I like to buy power cable, and ring terminals from www.partsexpress.com . They are a great supplier, and have good prices.

I'd buy about 4 feet of this 4 gauge wire:

and

6 of these ring terminals:

That should get you set for the two main factory grounds, and an extra like I was talking about. On second thought, I'm not sure how that rubber insulation will cope around the exhaust pipe. You might want to do a typical grounding strap for that one, like they have form the factory.

I did it on my g20, def worth it. Shouldn't be too hard or time consuming.
