my girlfriend recently bought be a pair of hollister shorts and they were to big but i wore them before realizing they were to big, anyhow a day before i went to exchange the shorts i was messing with my car, little did i know i left the keys in the shorts.
long story short, the keys were returned to the store and they didnt have them
i called nissan and they said they dont have key codes for the 92 sentras anymore, is this true or can they make a key off the vin number?
i got a quote to rekey for almost 100.00 thats insane
You might have the key code in the glove box. My 91 Egg was re-keyed by the previous owner, due to theft. The t-tops weren't re-keyed though, and the guy lost the old keys. I called up a few dealers asking to see if they can check the key code off the VIN, some said yes, but when I showed up, they said no. Finally, my last ditch effort to call another dealership paid off. The guy was really knowledgeable, and told me to check in the glove box. Sure enough, it worked! As long as you can get the key code, and your car hasn't been re-keyed before, it should cost you less then $10 at the dealer to get a new key cut.

Good luck!
Would you happen to remember the number of digits the code is?
Another possibility, if you find a great locksmith with interest in trying, if you've got the VIN they might be able to search out and cut a key for you. I had that done for my 95 200sx - took less than 20 minutes. The locksmith did indicate that it often takes longer and that sometimes he's not successful.
my second b13, exterior locks were messed up. so i picked up a set of doors and trunk locks. took the trunk one to the locksmith outside of the junk yard, and had him make a key for it. he said it'll be 25 bucks and will take 30 minutes, so i went into the junk yard and cam back out after 30 mins. turns out he didn't even started yet, so i was waiting. he started working on it and after about 8 minutes or so, he was done. that was one of the coolest thing i had ever seen. he started with a blank, stuck it in the key hole to look at the pins, then took it back out and started filing. after doing that for a good 30 times, the key worked. it was amazed. a good work of art, a lock smith is...
