I would put something in there like jb weld and drive the car. I may be dead wrong but that's what I'd try to do.

**** UPDATE ****

After closely looking at this what i cracked is the rear engine cover??? Im not sure what it really is called, but it holds the rear main seal in.... it cracked in half... after loosening two of the bottom bolts the bottom portion of it fell off.. so now the question is where do i get one of these?!?!?!

Yeah just replace that rear main seal housing and you should be good to go. Its happened to many others before so don't beat yourself up over it.

it happens man, i have a spare i think off a stock se-r block i tossed a while back. if you want it just shoot me some money for shipping and i'll go get it from the moms house

on a side note i was putting my upper oil pan on when i rebuilt my engine and as i was going around tightening the bolts up i heard a PING!,so i know the feeling you describe. turns out there was too much rtv in a front cover bolt hole and it cracked the metal but only on the outside so i just jb welded that baby and its still good

snafu16 is right I have tried many other forums and this is the only one that I have found that every one seams to have respect for every one. Sentradude I will go ahead and check on things tomorrow and give you details on what I found to leave you with some options.
