Hey all. Here's what happened. I went driving the car after repairing/replacing the gasket between the manifold and the turbo. The car seemed great at first, with absolutely no issues. MAYBE a little hard to get into first gear. As I was getting off a highway off ramp, I noticed that it was difficult to downshift, but it still would go. Taking off from a stoplight, it sorta grinded before slipping into first gear. I was going to Autozone for some cleaning supplies. When I was leaving, the car really had a hard time getting into first gear and then when I was trying to pull out of the driveway, it would not go into gear at all. I had a few buddies with me, so we attempted to troubleshoot and decided to bleed out the clutch. We did that and it still wouldn't get into gear. I then had the car towed back to my apartment. I also attemped to start the car in first gear and the car wanted to go forward, with me still having my foot depressing the clutch pedal. The car would start fine in neutral, but will not get into any gear. With the car off, the car gets into all the gears fine.
I called JWT a little while ago and was trying to troubleshoot all the symptoms over the phone. The clutch setup I have is a JWT Stage II setup with lightened flywheel. It is about 25k miles old. I don't think it's the clutch, just because for it to go bad, I would think there would be some slipping going on. I was trying to call it the throwout bearing, but I was told that it would be making noise. What does everyone think? I really appreciate any help that would lead me to fix this. I would hate to tow my car to the dealership to fix, but I honestly don't have too much time to work on the car since I'm on sea duty. Thanks again in advance!
