Fan Problem

i bought a 95 200sx se-r recently and the fans are always on so i looked around and he has them wired to always stay on. I cut the wire and the fans shut off and dont come back on. Now the question is he has a highport jdm motor in the car should i have a temp sensor from a lowport motor in the car for the fans to work right with the b14 ecu? thanks in advance

I would pick up some new engine and coolant temp sensors from auto zone and slap them in. Make sure they are for the B14 and hopefully you will be good. Does the temp gauge work inside the car?
