ok so here we go with a quick background story here...
W10 in a B14
stock psi, BPU, Calum basic tune etc etc etc
anyways, heres the deal, i start the car and it FINALLY idles fine... HOWEVER, within like 15 seconds of it being on and idling, the AFR goes to 17+ and i am hearing this whirling noise from the intake manifold/fuel rail/IACV .... now if that wasn't enough to irritate me...
i took off and cleaned the IACV, no problems fine, adjusted the screw (it fixed the idle issue i was having) now, i'm sitting here like, hmm whats going on with this... there is still the issue of hearing a whirling noise... ok for lack of a better way to do this we're going to use the imagination... basically ever heard a can opener going? its the same whirl like that but high pitched and repeating its "cycle of sounds" every 4 seconds or so. i'm totally @ my whits end on this thing... i've adjusted the Fuel pressure (helped a little) but i want to know what this sound is first.. like i said it sounds like the IACV, but i can't pin point it right there, and pre-head gasket replacement it wasn't doing this... ideas? thanks in advance...
