Update:
Tach still not working, speedo still not working properly and still kicking up to 60mph occasionally. Figure thats probably a speedo cable issue, but will get to that in due time.
So i've been lacking quite a bit of power on takeoff and in general

It runs rather rough at high speeds, annoying but bearable.
But i foresee a problem in the near future if i continue to do so.
I did a compression test today, every cylinder is fine.
But did a spark test(took off the plug wire and stuck a screwdriver in to get a spark), and found the first and second cylinder plugs wires aren't sparking nearly with as much spark as the 3rd and 4th cylinder plugs. Yes i was wearing rubber gloves, and still got a little shock each time.
I replaced the distributor cap/rotor already, and had new NGK plug wires put in recently.
So i'm wondering, is this perhaps a coil problem?
The battery is pretty old, but i don't think thats the problem could it?
Sometimes the car starts, but a lot of times it requires quite a bit of cranking to get it going.
What do you think? bad battery? coil pack?
Also the car is sputterin blue smoke, not a lot but enough to get me pulled over around where i live.
i know its a oil burning issue, but whats most common cause in a s13 sr20? Also would a misfire when revving lead to a lot of brown/black smoke out the exhaust?
