Total Noob

Whats the easiest way to relocate the Battery without buying a kit? and I can't seem to find (again) a cross reference sheet for oil filter, plugs and other things like that, can anyone help? Thanks Josh

it sounds like its some trailerpark stuff but you can get some jumper cables and run them back the car like some amp wires and hook them up that way lol. the oil filter number is something you can find at autozone or something along the lines and i normally get some NGK bkr6e or 7e

Buy some battery cable from napa, inbolt your old battery tray and screw it down in the trunk and run your positive to the trunk, dont forget a fuse so your car wont burn down if you get a good short.

I vote for the jumper cable extension - it's doable as long as you use the right connectors and crimp them on VERY tight, insulating them well in the process. You also want the same gauge wire as the battery cable... not something much skinnier.

One thing to consider is weight balance when doing this mod. The engine is the heaviest component, and it's on the passenger side. The battery is there to help counterbalance the motor so that the car doesn't dip to one side. If you relocate the battery, it would be wise to also relocate the coolant reservoir and whatever else you can to where the battery was.
