Car bucks like crazy on acceleration and super high idle-- HELP!

So my car has been running fine other than a power steering leak and a new clutch change, but just the other day on my way to work after making a right turn, I tipped about 2/3rds throttle and the car starts bucking like crazy! I managed to get to work with the car bucking even at low speeds. It eventually died and when I started it back up, it was idling at 4500+ rpm! What gives?
I did a search and couldn't find anything solid. Any ideas?
I checked the MAF, the TPS, the plugs and the distributor. Could it be the fuel pressure or the pump? Not sure what the common symptoms are for a bad pump or clogged injectors.
Please helpa brutha out Thanks.

It sounds like an epic vacuum leak. Vacuum leaks past the throttle body cause problems like this... as in.. a hose is not connected or has broken apart.

You also should specify what car this is since you have 2 sr20de cars in your sig ....

checked the vacuum hoses and I'm not seeing any disconnected or cracked hoses. MAF maybe? Don't think its the fuel since it idles and now seems to rev ok with no hiccups. Its gotta be something with ignition or the MAF at this point.
