Car is a 99 p11.Does an exhaust leak from the header and from the cat cause bad gas mileage?because I have a leak at the corner bolt of my header(right corner bolt) and from the cat. I will be fixing these today, but I was wondering if it really does cause bad gas mileage. About 2 weeks ago I installed some BC stage 2 cams, and my mpgs are really bad now. I'm talking about around 17-20mpgs combined highway and city driving, and thats driving normal. Before the cams I was getting only like 280miles to a tank. But now I'm expecting about 250miles to a tank. Right now I have half tank and from fill up its only at 103 miles without going over 3k rpm. I did everything thing possibly to fix my gas mileage problem before(spent about $300 on tune-up parts), and nothing really helped, and this is probably my last resort. I know some mods will kill mileage but I know people with the same mods as mine, and they still get at least 350 to a tank compared to stock is around 380-400 a tank. All help will be appreciated.
