Performance dwindles the closer it gets to check engine light popping up?

Hi there. Have a strange problem...my stock 93 G20 is giving me a CODE 32, before and after bypassing my EGR system. If I reset my ecu (turning the screw twice), it runs like a scalded dog (fast with good throttle response) BUT the longer its driven (over a period of a few days) the slower and more laggy it gets till it finally throws the CODE 32 again and stays at that level of performance until I reset the ecu again. Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking since it runs rich when its first learning, its for some reason running with a better curve, then maybe leaning out? Or getting more rich as its learning? I don't know what to do, but I'd love to hear some ideas!

also thinking maybe knock sensor, but I'm not getting any code for that, just code 32...REALLLY getting on my nerves. Still no one has any ideas?

Code 32 is caused by a problem with the ERG temperature sensor. You might try a resistor, maybe 2k ohm, between ECU pins 8 and 29.

Thanks Dave, I'll give that a shot...I assume I have to remove the ecu casing to get at it?

No, I would locate the EGR temp. sensor connector in the engine compartment and connect a resistor there.
