Car dies after I redline it almost killed me! help!

Alright, I've got a 95 200sx se-r that I bought to race dirt track. I took it out for practice laps and when I run it up to 6k and let off the gas it dies. Not very good to lose power steering going into a hairpin turn at 80mph. So, I'm the biggest noob when it comes to imports and troubleshooting these ecu controlled motors. It does it worst when I hit the brakes after accelerating hard. It doesn't do it as much when its warmed up. It doesn't do it hardly at all when revving it up in the yard. Whats the deal?

O, and I just barely missed the wall by about 2-2 1/2 feet. Don't really wanna die, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I'm curious as to what the problem was also.

Hit a wall at about 65 mph. Problem solved.

Motor still runs like a clock but the passenger side axle took a chunk out of the transmission. I think its only the bellhousing though. bent rear axle, tie rod, tranny mounts, strut tower, and probably more but I just couldn't bare to look anymore. will a regular 200sx axle and passenger side strut tower work on se-r? I found a 98 200 ga16 5 speed. What parts can I use off it to get the se-r back on the track.

S***t! That sounds totaled. Doubts on the bellhousing; it's probably the transaxle case. Not sure exactly what you mean by "strut tower". The strut and spring are slightly different rates from a 1.6L. The top bearing on the strut, and the sheet metal from the body should be the same. The rear beam axle should be identical with a 1.6L. the front CV axles are specific to the engine and tranny.
