i have a vibrating noise coming from the front of my car. the sound speeds up or slows down depending how fast i'm going. thought it was my tires, but i put a different set on up front and the same noise is still there.
i looked under the car, and the right steering knuckle has globs of grease around the balljoint.
the noise becomes worse when i am steering left and weight transfers onto the right side of the car.
you guys think it's the steering knuckle that could be causing this noise? the whirring/vibrating noise gets pretty loud. dunno if it's the wheel bearing, because when my left front wheel bearing went out, it had a pretty distinct sound, unlike the vibrating/whirring noise i'm hearing now.
