A/C Compressor Models

Hello.

I got a question for your guys that might know the answer. My 200SX SE-R had the AC compressor working just fina with very very cold air but it was removed when we made the swap and, as a result of not being properly taken care off, it got contaminated and it's not working well any more (makes noises and poor cold air).

I decided to buy a good one from another member from the forum which is supposed to be taken from a 97-98 model (I quite don't remember now well) but problem is when we tried to install it, it did not fit on the entrances of the hoses. It seems it has smaller diameter holes for the hoses and makes it impossible to use it as is.

My AC compresson (original) has a stamped number on top that says 97 which I believed it was the year it was manufactured to be used on a 98 model, however, the compressor I got from the forum member has printed number 99 which I believe it's for a 99-00 model and this is why it changes.

The reason I ask is because I want to be 100% sure that year is that compresor made for as I had the idea all 92-98 we using the same and they changed on the 99 models..

Here are some pictures for you to see & understand me better

My 1998 200SX SE-R Compressor

It has 97 stamped on it

The unknown year Compressor received (has 2 connectors instead of one)

It has 98 stamped on it

BOTH SIDE TO SIDE
Top is Unknown year reveived (98 stamped) bottom is mine 200Sx SE-R 98 (97 stamped)

Left is Unknown year reveived (98 stamped) Right is mine 200Sx SE-R 98 (97 stamped)

Would you please be so kind to tell me to which year does the dirty and with 2 wires AC compressor belongs to?

Thank you

Luis

I'm not sure about B14s, but I know the B13s used at least 3 different ones. '91 - '92 were the same, '93 is different, and '94 was different. Are there any part numbers on the compressor?

My friend you were on the right track!

I just check the part number from the one it did not fit, heres the pic:

And the part number of the one that has "98 stamped" on it is 926009B460

Which investigating a little bit more, it belongs to a 97 model (but compressor maybe had been replaced as the stamp it seems it's fabrication year maybe a warranty)

Here's the info I found on the AC compressors for the B14

http://www.uacparts.com/catalog/home...rs-NISSAN.html

This is very good info for people like me that want to get the right AC compressor for your aplication.

Thank you

Luis

Are 98 and 99 the same?

Or they are also unique 99 being different to 98 model.
