weird acceleration problem

hey guys i have an auto sr18de bluebird (stock). Having a problem where i have my foot planted on the gas, car gets stuck at 4000rpm for about 5 secs, then suddenly gives me a surge of acceleration and continues normally... It would happen more in 1st and 2nd gear and the surge feels more powerful than boost.. in the higher gears car just stuggles and won't go past 4000rpm.. Its an obd1..used a scan tool hooked up to my pc and didnt find any codes.. TPS and MAF are fine, only noticeable electrical issue is fluctuating voltage from the 02 sensor but i dont *** whats the normal range of voltage for this car.. Anybody with any clue what could be the problem?

tht sounds more like a fuel pump problem...mine drives fine at part throttle like nothings wrong...only under WOT the rpm literally sticks at 4k rpm, then flies up the rpm and continues as normal. no missing sputtering or jerking for me really..

sounds like a bad MAF to me, try giving it a clean or swapping it out for another one
