Need opinion ASAP about automatic trans, PLEASE

Got my wife a 93 Nissan Sentra SE-R, automatic, but the car seems it doesn't have power and have hard time acclerating pass 3,000 rpm. But only once it ran how a SR20 suppose to run after I sprayed carb cleaner in the TB, but the next day it ran like sh*t and doesn't want to go pass 3000 rpm. Tried to spray carb cleaner again but no success.

Need advise ASAP so my wife can use this this car.

So far, I did:

New spark plugs
Owner before me said, he put in "Royal Purple" transmission fluild
clean the MAF

Don't know what else to do.

Royal purple is junk in my opinion. Go with the factory nissan trans fluid. Now does it seem like the trans is keeping the engine from revving past 3k or is it the engine? Does it rev differently in P,N, and drive?

When it is in park or neutral, it revs good but when I drive it, it doesn't want to rev past 3k.

Forgot to mention, the previous owner said it was in storage for about 2 years.

don't always believe the previous owner I've learned that the hard way lol! try burning up the old gas then put the highest octane and a treatment and change the fuel filter...it sounds like it would have a crap load of carbon build up and its maintenance that needs to be done anyways
