I bought my friends 1991 nissan 240sx fastback for 800$ with a blown engine.
It has no rust and my plans for the car were pretty simple. I was going to buy a SR20DET for around 1500 (fairly priced?) off ebay and do an engine swap.

This car is my first car and i have no experience with installing engines etc, although i am a very technical, handy and diy kind of guy. I was also going to ask my neighbor who's an engineer to help me out at worst.

What I am wondering, is if i do an engine swap, what else would i need to change in the car? So far I know ill need a better fuel pump then the stock one and that ill need a new exhaust line but is there anything else? I was wondering if the clutch, etc would have to be changed(?)

If anyone knows some good websites where i can get good quality but affordable parts that i will need to change such as my fuel pump and exhaust if they could post it with there comments.

Any tips, suggestions etc would be greatly appreciated!

fuelpump, clutch, ecu, maf possibly should be the basics....fuel pressure regulator, fuel gauge, boost and oil gauge to be safe
