S15 cuts out briefly under very hard acceleration.

Just wondering if anyone can assist a newbie with an on going issue??
Problem = Engine "cuts out " under very hard acceleration. just for a split second but it is pretty "violent " when it does. It feels like the motor almost stops dead. Back off and it continues on fine provided you don't floor it again. Normal daily driving is fine. If I accelerate gradually the problem does not occur , it also did not occur on dyno.
Motor is basically stock,2001 S15, larger intercooler -3 inch exhaust , Power FC D-jetro with hand controller , Mazda MAP sensor ,Pod filter , just fitted Splitfire coil packs - problem happened before when engine had Nissan computer and Speedworks tune with standard coilpacks . If anything the problem was worse before as the motor would actually stop altogether and need to be re-started .Motor has done about 60K , thirty since fitted. VVT connected. G-reddy turbo timer & boost controller . Tried platinum plugs also-regapped to 7 thou, tried copper plugs gapped down too.. Bosch 044 pump-just fitted another one, swirl pot installed. The power FC shows minor signs of knocking max about 25 when this problem happens.
Only other thing motor is fitted into a 1976 Triumph Dolomite(second time around as first was written off), had the same problem in the initial body though so do not think it can be a G force problem ?Car has been professionally tuned. Fuel pressure is about 45 psi.
Any help or advice greatly appreciated?

Anyone on here got any ideas I can try..... please??
