help asap please... hesitating to start

hello everyone ... previously i had a b14 base model that i modded up and always wanted the ser, unfortuantly i sold the base but it was worth it for the price. i have been sitting and waiting for almost a year to find an ser for a decent price finally i found her! she neeeds some work (ignition, driver power window snapped so i need a new one, and a driver fender.) but for 150 k miles and only $800 im not complained at all ... anyway the car is quiet no ticks taps knocks nothing out of all 12 cars ive owned this is by far the quietest one ive owened...

ok so heres the problem ... the starter signal wire has a toggle switch ran to it because the ingition is all screwed up and theres a problem in between the singal wire and the igntion but he it works for now till i can buy a new ingition

when i first bought it it started right up but now that ive been driving it dayly few days its very hesitant to start in the morning or when i go on lunch break at work .. it probly takes about 6 seconds of the starter cranking to start but it was fine befor?? im lost ...and sometimes it may take a little longer to get started and ill have to give it some gas and it will spit and sputter for 2 seconds. also yesterday after it took a while to start it was still somewhat cold and i starting driving to go get lunch since i only get a half hour break and once i got the the stop sign about a football field length from where i was parked it stalled? hhmmm sorry it may be something dumb but i just dont have time to tear it apart right now so i figured id ask first since i work all day mon through fri i wanna tear into this weeked!!

also the kid i bought it from only put 900 miles on the car in two years so if that helps narrow some things down ... thank you very much for any input !!

also .. sorry to say the the ser seems a little slow??? my 1.6 seems like it had more nuts and it only had and axel and intake for perfromance ... its could be plugs or something like i said i havent had a eekend to tear into it *** the weekend i bought it wasdownpouring raing ... it could also be due to the fact it is slow *** of the 65 series blizaks on it lol im not sure?? it just doenst seem snappy my old teg seemed faster ... thanks alot guys
