SR20DE FWD to RWD

Hey Guys, Greetings from Jamaica. We have the SR20DE FWD dime a dozen here, but the RWDs are a little hard to find. Is it possible to convert a FWD to RWD? Is it possible to relocate the Distributor? Hope i dont sound like a doofus! Thanks!

The FWD and RWD blocks are not the same, and can not be swapped unless you use the FWD transmission.

All i need to know is if the distributor can be replaced, relocated or removed with a Nissan Spec. Distributor less system

That's not all you need to know. Its a lot of things.

I've never seen it done in 12 years owning.

Lol, there's an NX driving around here with a RWD SR20DET (S14) mated to a FWD tranny. I wouldn't know why it couldn't be done the otehr way around?

You can replace the distributor with a 20V/VET cam angle sensor to give you a little bit of room. Then install 20V/VET coil-on-plug (and valve cover) and an appropriate engine management system and you'll be in business.

However, you'll still have to make an adapter to bolt a RWD transmission to the FWD block.

It is MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to just start with a RWD block to begin with. Why is that not an option for you?
