SR20DET Runs like a subaru below 2000rpm and misfires after 5000 rpm under WOT
Hi everyone I have a Pulsar GTI with a SR20Det from an avenir (runs a distributor, one standard DET ignition coil, aftermarket fuel pump, Sard FPR, Custom ECU with a map sensor, 650cc injectors, forged pistons and a larger garret turbo (at 10 psi) a bit bigger than the GTIR Garret T28).
It sounds like a subaru (sounds like its running on 3 cylinders) below 2000rpm when the car is warmed up and only when it is warm (above 80 Deg C when driven for sometime) this only happens when I am crusing or in a higher gear below 2000 rpm.
The car also sputters after 5000 rpm under WOT once again when warmed up, I have changed cyl lead 4 and put new NGK plugs gapped to 0.24 inches which helped a lot and boost right to 6000 rpm when cold (with a slight mis) but when the car warms up its back to square one. It revs fine in neutral and when I half throttle it, it revs right up to 7000 rpm with no sputtering or misfiring only when its at WOT hitting full boost after 5000 rpm it happens, there are no boost leak as I have pressure tested the whole intake system. Any help would really be appreciated.
