clutch issue

Sup everybody, i drive a 1991 sentra se-r that i recently blew the motor in so i replaced it with an sr20 from a 1993 g20 and had the motor and a new clutch put in. the mechanic i had install the clutch and motor only bolted the motor on and left me to the rest so as i tied up all the loose ends and i go to start her up to hear the purr of the sr20 and she starts right up,but my clutch pedal stays basically at the floor and theres little pressure behind it,i can move the shifter into gear when i push the pedal in as normal but when i go to release the pedal im still sitting still. any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot.

at first sounds like a pressure plate problem.. but with it running you can push the clutch and put into any gear? if thats true it deletes that. You make sure both axles are all the way in the trans?

everything seems to be where it should be,but this clutch has been the only thing stopping me from driving for the past 2 months (keep in mind im flat broke atm so i cant bring it anywhere to have it lookd at professionally)

even without me pushing in the pedal i can get it into gear(but theres resistance)

so me and a buddy were out there today checking it out and it seems the passenger side axel is not attached to the wheel itself, thanks for the advice Bred407. but now i cant break the drive axle nut is there a way to get it to go in without removing the wheel hub?

the shaft of the axle is splined through the hub n the hub turns the wheel

its best to use an impact gun but u can use an 1"-1/4 socket and a breaker bar with the tire on the ground to break it loose.

no pix sorry. i have a 32mm drive axle socket but im working on soggy grass and dirt so that doesnt help much either.might call around and get a quote to have it done and just replace the CV axle but if i can just lock it in myself tomorrow in the daylight and drive it off id rather do that since ive been without a car since the beginning of the summer. wasnt sure if it was possible to snap it back into its place without removing the hub itself. its in there just not IN THERE
