Did I ruin the coil?

Just did a VE swap, and enlarged one of the mounting holes in the coil to mount it in an alternate location.
While drilling, the sandwiched layers of metal separated slightly. It's mounted now, but the car bogs and has no power. Does this sound like a symptom of a bad coil?

thanks
