B13 brake upgrade...again.

Okay, first and foremost, I have searched extensively on this forum and other sources for clear and concise answers to my questions and it has led to confusion mainly for one reason, most people seem to have non-ABS B13 Sentras, talking about a four port MC when switching to the Altima part, or I even read that the ABS Sentra has PVs separate from the MC. Before moving on let me clarify, I have a US 1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R WITH ABS and a two port MC with PVs threaded directly to the ports, and I am looking to upgrade my brakes.

Now, first question. I have already upgraded the MC by pulling a two-port MC (PVs were separate, brake lines directly threaded to ports) off of a '97 Altima (I believe with ABS given the two-port design). The PVs on the Sentra's MC could not be transferred over so I re-bent the lines and screwed them directly into the ports on the Altima MC. The good news is more responsive brakes and a much firmer pedal. The questions, is this new MC a 15/16 or a 1/1, and is this the correct MC to use or is there a better option or one that installs more easily?

Question number two, I have all of the parts to install '94 Maxima rear disc brakes because I got them very cheap, but I currently have stock brakes, what front upgrade should I do before installing the rears? Are the G20 fronts an option or good choice because my local junk yard has several G20s?

Thank you in advance for any clarity you can provide on this subject.

The altima MC was the same for abs and non-abs models, but there was a difference in the the size, like you noticed. I believe it was like 3/4 and 15/16 something like that, dont quote me on it.

As for the front brakes you should do the AD22VF swap off a NX2K. And I doubt the G20 brakes are any kind of upgrade.

What is the difference between the stock SE-R front brakes and the ADV22? Is it the same diameter rotor but with a larger caliper piston or a larger rotor as well? Also, do the ADV22 calipers bolt right up like stock or do they require modification? I saw that Fastbrakes makes a budget big brake kit by using a caliper adapter with the ADV22 to fit a much larger rotor, is that necessary with the Maxima rears or are the stock ADV22 sufficient for brake bias?

The stock SE-R brakes are smaller, both caliper and rotor size.

The AD22's will bolt up to the hub like stock, you only, of course, need the bracket that holds the two together. The caliper and hub.
The only thing about the AD22's is that since they are bigger, they wont clear the B13 wheels. All you have to do though, is shave a few mm off the side of the caliper so they wont rub the rims.

If you go with the Altima MC with Maxima rears and NX fronts, you'll be prefect. Many respected members use this exact setup on their cars, and have nothing bad to say about it. Bias is good with the setup.

Well in the meantime I've put EBC pads on the car and the braking power is already more than my cheap 14" tires can handle, so I probably won't upgrade further until I get better wheels and tires under the car. Thanks for the input.
